Obituary of Richard Krug

Richard F. Krug Age 57. Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the University of Chicago Hospital with his family by his side. Richard was a CNC machinist for Caterpillar for 39 years. He was a member of the Dwight Fire Department for 19 years. He loved camping and was a member of the Caterpillar Camping Club. Richard was an avid lighthouse enthusiast and was the "official chauffeur" to numerous quilt shows. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Peggy (nee Pritts); his children, Bridget (Brandon) Stych, Amy (Cory) Hall and Brian (Megan) Krug; his grandchildren, Tanner and Madison Stych and granddaughter on the way, Willa Mae Hall; his mother, Esther M. Krug; sisters, Mary (Paul) Quigley and Janice (Gerald) Earing; father and mother in-law, Jim and Mary Pritts; sisters-in-law, Deb (Terry) Sarff, Phyllis (Mike) Christensen and Sharon (Dan) Voigts; and many nephews and one niece. Preceded by his father, Robert Krug; and one brother in-law, Kenneth Sigler. As it was Richard's wish, cremation rites will be accorded. As a last act of kindness, Richard was an organ and tissue donor. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 126 W. Mazon Avenue, Dwight. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to the family to be dispersed to several different charities. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C.
