Age 84. Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Born in Caramanica Italy on October 7, 1928, living in Joliet for the past 52 years. Retired from St. Joseph Medical Center. Member of the American Italian Cultural Society, the Machinist Retirees Club, Caterpillar Retirees Club and the Church of St. Anthony.
Preceded in death by her husband, Peppino Alberico; her parents, Tereasa (nee Brandolino) and Joseph Amoroso; siblings, Tony, Antonette and Laurine; daughter-in-law, Shirley (nee Wilkenson) Alberico; and one grandson, Mathew Perez.
Survived by her loving children, Christina and Nicholas Egizio, Luciano and Jerelyn (nee Whitehead), Anthony and Janice (nee Pilz), Frank and Antonia "Toni" (nee Myers) and Johnny J. Alberico; dearest grandmother to Julieann (nee Egizio) and Brian Bell, Jennifer (nee Egizio) and Adam Ciesielski, Brandi Alberico, Misti (nee Alberico) and Antonio Tinajero, Aaron, Nicole and Joseph Alberico, Nicholas and Heather Perez, Isabella Alberico; great-grandmother to John "Jack", Aidan and Brett Bell, Alexandria and Katelyn Ciesielski, and Mya Tinajero; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friend and neighbors.

Funeral Services for Ida G. Alberico will be Monday, April 15, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to the Church of St. Anthony for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Enshrinement Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
