Obituary of Andrew Brockett SR

Andrew Robert Brockett, Sr. Age 26, of Lisbon Township, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, March 3, 2012 at his residence due to several health complications. Born June 25, 1985 to Jeri Lynn (Kohlhagen) and Robert L. Brockett, he was a lifelong Morris area resident. He graduated with the class of 2003 from Morris Community High School, where he was a pitcher for the Baseball team. Andy was the devoted father of Andrew Robert, Jr. "A.J." and Brooke. Loving son of Bob and Jeri; dear brother of Nat (fiancee Sarah Fortier), and Emily Brockett (Eric Johnson); proud uncle of Zoe Brockett; beloved grandson of Patricia, nee Remko (late James) Kohlhagen and Mabel, nee Hibner (late Kenneth) Brockett; fond nephew of many aunts and uncles. Also surviving are his beloved partner, Ashley Brunette and former wife and friend, Barbara (Brockett) Hedrick, as well as countless friends. Andy was employed through Aerotek at EcoLab in Channahon. Some of his favorite passtimes were fishing, camping, hiking and reading, however, nothing was more special to him than reading with Brooke or wrestling or "gaming" with A.J. Spending time with his kids was his greatest passion. As it was Andy's wish, cremation rites will be accorded. All friends and relatives are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service begins at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to his family to benefit his children.
