Obituary of Dominic Maier

Dominic E. Maier Our Precious Boy now sleeps with the Angels Age 44. Passed from this world to our Heavenly Father, at home in his bed in the arms of his sisters. Waiting for him in Heaven are his maternal and paternal grandparents; his parents, Bernard and Madonna (Kwatick) Maier; his twin brother, Thomas; and his sister, Theresa; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins Survived by sisters, Susan (Michael) O'Brien, Margaret "Peggy" Maier, and Christine (Carl) Crater; nephews, Cody and Jake Crater; and Mathew (Heather) and John O'Brien and one niece, Tiffany Crater; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Dom attended Cornerstone Services for over 20 years after graduating from the Joliet and Spaulding Special School system programs. He also participated in a special Joliet Junior College in school program while attending Cornerstone. Dom's greatest pleasures were "Happy Dancing" the "Beagle Boogie" to the "Snoopy Song", Sponge Bob, reading his comics from Big John's, "sneaky watching" Scooby Doo with Mr. Tim and eating sloppy joes. The family wishes to thank our extended family: "Aunt" Bridget, "Aunt" Jodi and Mr. Harvey, Dom's "baby girls" Julie-Ann, Hailey and Kelsie Kasky. Ms. Mary, Ms. Pam, Doctor "O" and the entire team at Joliet Area Community Hospice, Mr. Tim and "Aunt" Patty, the entire team at Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell especially "Aunt" Rosalie, Mr. Ed and Mr. Milo, Dr. Mike and his hero and protector, "King" Cousin Jeff, and the many, many other family members and friends who have helped us along this journey. Funeral Services for Dominic E. Maier will be Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet to the Church of St. Jude for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris.
