Obituary of Jean Thompson

Jean Elizabeth Thompson (nee McCulley) Age 91, late of Joliet, and formerly of Monee, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center with her family at her side. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was named Volunteer of the Year by the Village of Monee She was a trooper! Survived by three children, Judith Ann (John) Orsini of Joliet, Barbara Jane Thompson of St. Paul, MN and Edward George Thompson, Jr. of Merrillville, IN; nine grandchildren, Randy (Darrin) Besse, Patricia (Robb) Colognesi, Samantha (Mark) Moser, Johanna Thompson-Hollands, Elizabeth Thompson-Hollands, Dustin Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Matthew Thompson and Dillon Thompson; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Benzie of Bellefonte, PA and Ruthie Martz of Haggerstown, MD. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward George Thompson, Sr.; parents, John and Ruth McCulley; two brothers and one sister. Funeral Services for Jean Elizabeth Thompson will be Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
