Obituary of Elaine Curwick

Curwick, Elaine K. (nee Painter) Age 67, of Crest Hill, passed from this life on Friday, April 26, 2013. She was born July 18, 1945 to the late Jeannie (Mann) and Harlan Painter in Joliet and was a lifelong area resident. Beloved wife of William "Bill" Curwick; loving mother of Tina Doll, Candie (Brad) Jackson, Donald (Denise) Lutes, Rhonda (Dan) Jackson and Steven Lutes; dear grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of 7. Also survived by her sisters, Mary Peck, Jan Austin and Lou Sharp; stepson Preston (Liza) Murfin, special cousins David (Hazel) Donaldson and several other relatives. Preceded in death by her parents; a great-grandchild Michael in infancy; and three brothers, Otis, Bobby, and James. Elaine retired from Sciarine Inc. after over 26 years of service. She will be remembered fondly for her baking skills-her specialty wedding cakes. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 29, 2013, 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd., Joliet. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Humane Society would be appreciated. Visitation Monday from 4-8 p.m.
