Obituary of Kathleen Sebek

Kathleen T. Sebek (nee Quinn) Age 52, of Joliet, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Born April 18, 1961 in Chicago, she was a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She worked as a Teachers Aide for Joliet Public Schools, District 86, in their preschool program. Kathy's life centered around her children, giving up a career in advertising to be with her family. She was a beloved wife, a devoted mother, a great daughter and sister, and a loving aunt and godmother. Kathy kept everyone on track. She also was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved traveling, boating and snow skiing. She will be remembered as the organizer who kept in touch with friends and classmates over the years. Surviving are her husband, Arthur R. "Art" Sebek of Joliet; her children, Danielle and Matthew, both at home; her mother, Kathleen T. Quinn of Chicago; her sister, Maureen (Gregory) Costigan of Naperville; her brother, Edward Quinn of Chicago; and four nieces and nephews, Lauren, Daniel, Timothy and Theresa Costigan. Preceded by her father, Edward Michael Quinn. Funeral Services for Kathleen T. Sebek will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to Holy Family Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
