Obituary of Gregory Marx

Marx, Gregory J. Age 49, of Joliet, was taken to Heaven in the arms of the Lord, Monday, May 6, 2013 at home, with his loving family by his side. Born August 23, 1963 in Joliet to the late John and Dorothy (Henderson) Marx, he was a graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1982. He continued his education at Moraine Valley Community College. He worked as a phlebotomist for the Will County Health Department and also for Silver Cross Hospital. He will be greatly missed by many there as well as by many at Meridian Medical Center, his former work place. Greg was an active member of Judson Church in Joliet for the past several years. He always enjoyed participating in his men's Bible connect group. He will forever be remembered by his loving smile, funny jokes, and generous personality. Survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Connie (nee Schwarz) Marx of Joliet; two daughters, Emily and Katherine "Katie" Marx of Joliet; his siblings, Gary (Donna) Olsen of Dixon, IL; Carla Olsen of Ottawa, IL and his twin, Jeffrey D. Marx of Kankakee; nieces and nephews, Dave Olsen, Chris Olsen, Aaron Olsen, Sara Cutcher, Ben Schwarz, and Alexie Schwarz; great-nieces, Holly Cutcher and Adra Olsen; great-nephews, Nick Olsen, Ryan Olsen, and Nathaniel Olsen; his wife's parents, Henry and Doris Schwarz of Romeoville; and his wife's siblings, Ed (Jeanene) Schwarz of Lisle and Alan (Tammy) Schwarz of Lombard. Gregory J. Marx will Lie in State on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Judson Memorial Baptist Church, 2800 Black Rd., Joliet from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park II.
