Obituary of Gail Ambrose

Gail A. Ambrose Age 53. Peacefully Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home following a courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. A longtime area waitress where she always gave great service with a smile at the Golden Corral, Silver Spoon and the Stockpot restaurants. Formerly employed by Jewel Food Store on Jefferson Street. She loved to go to the Croation Club and St. Joe's Park for fun and polka music. Preceded by her mother, Mary Rita (nee Scagnelli) Ambrose; her father, Leonard Ambrose and her sister, Joan Ambrose. Survived by her beloved sister, Kathy (Brian) Carr; one brother, Ward (Bernice) Ambrose; her boyfriend, Bobby Mutz all of Joliet; nieces and nephews, one great-niece, two great-nephews and many friends also survive. Funeral Services for Gail A. Ambrose will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Fr. Greg Rothfuchs officiating.
