Obituary of Kevin Gear

Kevin M. Gear Age 48, of Ft. Myers, FL the past nine years, peacefully entered eternal life with Jesus on January 21, 2013 with his devoted twin brother Brian at his side. He was born August 23, 1964 to the late Dolores (nee Peltier) and James C. Gear in Joliet where he was raised and educated, graduating from Joliet West High School (Class of 1982) and Joliet Junior College. Kevin is survived by his beloved children, Jenna (15), and twins Kailey and Connor (12); his twin brother Brian and sister, Renee Gear Lynch all of Ft. Myers; sister, Michelle Gear Kleikamp of Plainfield, IL; nephews and niece, Larry James Kleikamp of Plainfield, James Gear Faxel and Emily Gear, both of Ft. Myers. Also survived by his friend and children's mother, Jody Luckey Gear of Ft. Myers. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jim and Shawn. Kevin was formerly employed by Ameritech. He was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast. All friends and relatives are invited to gather at the Church of St. Jude, 2212 W. McDonough St., Joliet, Saturday, June 8, 2013, where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his family for his children's education would be appreciated.
