Obituary of Jacqueline Magee

Jacqueline J. Magee (nee Gardner) Age 81, of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 24, 2013 at her home. Born November 24, 1931 in Joliet, to John K. and Marguerite (nee Adams) Gardner, she was raised in Lockport, and graduated from Joliet Township High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Joliet, and was active in the Joliet Moose Lodge #300 and its Ladies Auxiliary. Jacqueline was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are five children, Michael W. (Larissa) Magee of Lithia, FL, Susan E. (late Robert) Burroughs of Joliet, Michele M. (James) Purcell of Elwood, Sharon D. (Leon) Ausec of Rockdale, and Glenn D. (Kim) Magee of Powell, OH; 14 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald (Janet) Gardner of Largo, FL; several nieces and nephews, and many close friends. Preceded by her beloved husband, Glenn E. Magee (1989); her parents; one brother, Kenneth Jordan; and one sister, Elizabeth Beaucherie. Funeral Services for Jacqueline J. Magee will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
