Obituary of Adela Becerra

Becerra, Adela Cortez Age 61, of Morris, IL, passed away Tuesday June 25, 2013 at the Morris Hospital. She was born July 23, 1951 in Danville, IL to the late Adela Ybarra and Moises Cortez Sr, and had resided in Morris all her life. Beloved Wife of Alejandro Becerra of Morris; Loving mother of Robert (Jennifer) Fabela of Crossroads, TX, Jaime (Cati) Fabela of Seneca, and Moises (Roxanne) Fabela of Houston, TX. Proud and devoted grandmother of Hunter Gore, Camden, Gabrielle and Emmeline Fabela; Fabiana and Nico Fabela; and twins, Valerie and Vanessa Fabela. Dear sister of Medardo (late Julia) Cortez, Sr., the late Jovita (Ricardo) Reyes, the late Ponciano Cortez, the late Moises (Guadalupe) Cortez Jr., Jose (Mary) Cortez, Estella (Hilario) Pena, Roberto (Teresa) Cortez and Roel (Judy) Cortez. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by her parents, siblings and a special cousin, Guadalupe Villareal. Adela will be fondly remembered by her family as a very kind and giving woman whose greatest passion in life was being with her grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday June 28, 2013 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Rt. 6 at Deerpath Dr., Morris. Funeral services will begin Saturday morning, June 29, 2013, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment Brookside Cemetery in Mazon.
