Obituary of Irene Hert

Irene Lorraine Hert (nee Fumagalli) Age 83. At rest Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Morris Hospital. Born in Joliet to the late Thomas and Victoria Fumagalli. She was a lifelong resident of Joliet, graduate of Joliet Township High School and an avid stamp and porcelain collector. Irene always looked forward to her special trips to Las Vegas with her nephew Steve Koenig. Surviving are her children, Dennis (Grace) Hert of Wilmington, the late James Hert, Robert (Kerry) Hert of Joliet and Laure Hert of Crest Hill; four grandchildren, Jim Cowger, Danielle Hert, Jim Hert and Jake Tobin; one great-grandson, Maison Cowger; her twin brother, Charles "Bud" Fumagalli; her twin sisters, Dorothy (Glen) Downey and Doris (late Lester) Koenig all of Joliet; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded by her loving husband, Paul E. Hert (January 1, 2009); and her parents. A Memorial Service for Irene L. Hert will be held Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Private inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
