I came into the Fronek family a little over 16 years ago when I married Jack. Florence was always so welcoming and loving! It didn't take long for me to think of her as my other mother and call her "Mom." I will remember the times we played Hillbilly Rummy; receiving greeting cards in the mail, always sealed and decorated with some kind of sticker; how my two kids immediately became her grandchildren...never step-grandchildren; how Mom loved to go to the chinese food buffets and eat and eat and eat; and the time Lil, Judy, Jan and I took Mom to get a pedicure she had never had before.
But the one time that stands out the most was when Mom and Dad were still in Alabama. Jack and I decided to surprise them with a short trip to Huntsville to see the NASA base. We didn't tell them what we were going to do, just to pack an overnight bag. Mom was so excited. She could hardly contain herself as she said, " I am so excited. I have never just up and decided to go somewhere at the spur on the moment!" We had a great couple days!
I am lucky to have known you Florence Love Fronek, "Mom!" May you spend the rest of your days singing and dancing with the angels!
Love, Sue
