Obituary of Patrick Freeman
Patrick M. Freeman
Age 45. Passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at his late residence. Born in Chicago, he was raised in Bolingbrook and resided in the Shorewood/Joliet area. A graduate of the Joliet Catholic High School Class of 1986, and Governors State University where he received his Master's Degree. A veteran of the U.S. Marines, he served in the Persian Gulf War at the rank of Corporal. He served briefly as a U.S Air Marshall, and currently was a Lieutenant with the Bolingbrook Police Department.
Preceded in death by his father, Patrick E. Freeman.
Survived by his son, Connor; daughter, Molly of Shorewood; mother, Maryanne (nee King) and Nick Friend of Loudon, TN
Patrick loved watching Connor play lacrosse, seeing Molly dance, duck hunting, horses, Tennessee, dogs, books by Lewis Grizzard, and old movies.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 23 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black At Essington Roads, Joliet. As it was Patrick's request, cremation rites will be accorded following his visitation. Interment will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home to the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where he will be accorded full military honors under the auspices of the United States Marine Corps.
