Obituary of Robert Rundio

Robert L. Rundio "Uncle Bob" Age 74, of Joliet, IL and formerly of Chicago, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Hines VA Hospital. Dear son of the late Frank and Anne (Knell) Rundio; beloved brother of the late Dorothy (late Alex) Skill, Marguerite (Jerry) Clark, Joan Athans, the late Ronald (late Judith) Rundio and Larry Rundio; "Uncle Bob" to many nieces and nephews; he also leaves his "special friend forever", Mary Trahan; many cousins; his late partner, June Lobodzinski and her family, son, Gordon Lurie and grandsons, Alex and Eric, as well as his uncle, Anthony Weber to mourn his passing. Robert was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and a dedicated volunteer at Catholic Charities, among other charitable organizations. Funeral Services for Robert L. Rundio will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
