Obituary of Burl Cooper

Burl E. Cooper Age 62. Suddenly, Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center as the result of an apparent heart attack. Born in Pontiac, IL, he was raised in Chenoa and was a Lockport/Joliet resident. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company in Joliet after over 33 years of service as a supervisor. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Viola Cooper; and sister, Dolores Wilsey. Survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Cooper; one daughter, Laurie (John) Starasinic both of Joliet; one grandson, Jack Hohenwater; two sisters, Janice (Dale) Sanders of Clearwater, FL and Charlene Cooper of Chenoa, IL; three brothers, Gary (Sharon) of Fairbury, IL, Fred (Janet) of Wilmington and Richard (Barb) Cooper of Normal, IL; his sister-in-law, Carole Wolfe of Gonzales, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Burl E. Cooper will be Monday, August 5, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet. As it was Burl's wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded following his donation to Gift of Hope so that others may live.
