Obituary of Frank Betkis

Frank Michael Betkis Age 67, of Minooka, IL, passed away at his home, Sunday August 4, 2013. He was born June 22, 1946 to the late Stella (Paulauskis) and Frank A. Betkis in Chicago, where he was raised. Frank also resided in Romeoville, Woodridge and Key West, Florida where he thoroughly enjoyed his "retirement job" as a dockmaster. Survivors include his wife, Carol (Carlin) Betkis; one daughter, Lisa Myrato; two sons, Frankie and Michael Betkis; three grandchildren as well as two step-sons, Bryan Kerr and Bret Thompson. Preceded in death by his parents. Frank owned and operated his own Tractor/Trailer transporting primarily for Dart Transport. He enjoyed boating, tinkering and especially his Harley Davidson until health prevented him from riding. Visitation will be held Friday, August 9, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Rt. 6 at Deerpath Dr., Morris. Funeral service Saturday 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Chicago. For information (815) 942-5040.
