James J. Buhle
"Jim"
Age 73. Peacefully, Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Chicago, he was a Minooka area resident since 1972. A U.S. Navy veteran. Retired from Commonwealth Edison after over 30 years of service. A lifetime member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). An accomplished NRA pistol instructor. His greatest loves in life were his family, friends, and working on his farm.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene Buhle; and one brother, Philip Buhle.
Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rose Ann Buhle of Minooka; two daughters, Lisa Buhle of Morris and Laura Buhle of Joliet; three sons, Eric (Jacque Sluder) of Morris, Karl of Morris and Kurt (Jeanette) Buhle of Yorkville; six grandchildren, Eric Jr., Melanie (fiancé Micheal), Colton, Isabella, Olivia and Heather; two great-grandchildren, Atreyu and Kaiden; two sisters, Phyllis (Stan) Lipien of Texas and Sharon (late Dave) Tate of Romeoville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his special canine companion Ginger Rose also survive.
James J. Buhle will lie in state on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 516 E. Jackson Street, Morris from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was James' request, Cremation Rites will be accorded following the funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at:
