Curtis H. Brown
Age 81. Suddenly, Tuesday, August 20, 2013 as the result of an automobile accident. Born in Burrville, TN to the late Lucy (nee Potter) and Charlie H. Brown, he had resided in the Joliet area most of his life. A U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War and was an active member of Stone City Post #2199. Retired from U.S. Steel after many years of service.
Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Vincent); loving father of Doris (Harold) Quigley, Sandy (Coy) Barnes of Essex, IL; grandfather of Tara (David) Cherry; proud great-grandpa of Ethan, Jaedyn and McKenna; brother of Thelma (late William) Keith, Lola (late Donald) Smith, Amy (Ivan) Bonham, Joann (late Bud) Meyer and Roger (Betty) Brown.
Preceded by his parents; siblings, Nellie Brown, Eula (late Kelly) Turner, Herbert (Carol) Brown, Elmer (Virginia) Brown and Clifford (late Pearl) Brown.
Funeral Services for Curtis H. Brown will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL.
