Catherine R. Crego "Katie" (nee Riddle) Age 92. Passed away peacefully Saturday, August 24, 2013. Survived by grandchildren Jeff (Amanda) Crego, Caitlin (Adam) Hedberg, and Carolynn (Stephen Davis) Crego; great-grandchildren, Brendin Crego, Brooklynn, Brody, and Isabella Hedberg, and Alaina Crego; daughter-in-law, Vickie Crego; niece Paula Rowland, and nephew, Chad Riddle. Preceded in death by her husband, Bert E.; daughter, Janice; son, Paul; grandson, Ryan; parents, Frank and Eleanor (McCord) Riddle; sister, Martha; and brother, Paul. Member of First Presbyterian Church, Louis Joliet Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, associate member of Midewin Prairie Chapter of DAR and E.B. Chapter P.E.O. Her greatest joys were spending time with her friends and family, and playing cards. Funeral Services for Catherine R. Crego will be Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet. Private interment at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia (which her father developed). In lieu of flowers, please remember your own favorite charity.
