Obituary of Phyllis Blaese

Phyllis J. Blaese (nee Austin) Age 84, of Plainfield since 2003, and formerly of Wheeling, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Manor Care Health Services, Naperville. Beloved wife of 50 years to Kenneth A. Blaese; loving mother of Jackie Blaese-Schmitt, Art (Jennifer) Blaese, Ken (Cindy) Blaese II, Robert (Susan) Blaese and Susan (Rob) Gavert; fond grandmother of Marty, Allison, Cailyn, Robert, Christopher, Luke, Kenny III, Cassie and Tyler; and dear great-grandmother of Joey, Taryn and Austin. Preceded by her parents, Milton and Anita (Susnick) Austin; one brother, Allen Austin; and one sister, Joyce Cantrell. Family was the most important thing in her life. She was also proud to be the granddaughter of a Daughter of the American Revolution. Funeral Services for Phyllis J. Blaese will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Cancer Research Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
