Obituary of Ta Chiang Chen

Ta Chiang Chen, M.D Age 74, late of Plainfield, IL and formerly of Los Angeles, CA, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in the Guangdong Province of China and one of four children of the late Kung Yin Chen and Choi You Chen. A graduate of Jiang Xi Medical College where he later practiced as an Internist and a Professor of Medicine. As a highly respected, talented, and compassionate physician, Dr. Chen saved and improved countless lives. In 1978, Dr. Chen and his wife Dr. Hui Ling, immigrated to the United States and resided in New York City. Facing many challenges in the new land, they spent years selflessly sacrificing their own livelihood in order to ensure a better future for their children. Survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Hui Ling; his greatest pride and joy have been his children, Lisa, Alan, and David; and his grandchildren, Timothy, Jonathan, Ashley, Noelle, Ethan, and Thierry. His daughter, Lisa and her husband own and operate an import/export business in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Alan Chen serves the greater southwest Chicagoland area as a dedicated Plastic/Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon. Dr. David Chen is a Dentist committed to serving the greater Seattle Washington area. Funeral Services for Dr. Ta Chiang Chen will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park II.
