Obituary of Robert Pena

Robert Pena, Sr. Age 57. At rest Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Plant City, FL, the son of the late Florence and Lucille (Gonzales) Pena, residing in Joliet most of his life. An avid fisherman as well as a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Robert had a wonderful sense of humor and loved playing cards and dominos. Survived by his beloved companion of 30 years, Rebecca Guardiola of Joliet; his children, Olivina (Stephen Sanchez) Pena, Rene (Felicia) Rodriguez, Robert (Severiana) Pena Jr. and Raquel (Eric) Lopez, all of Joliet; six grandchildren, Corina, Liliana, Nicholas, Robert III, Eliana and Eric Jr.; sisters, Virginia Littlejohn, Carol (Dave) Whitaker, Susie (Tony) Hinojosa, Dorlee (Odell) Coker, Juanita and Pam Pena; brothers, Sonny (Barb), Johnny (Chris), Jimmy, Dino (Donna) and Walter Pena; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by his sister, Rosmary; brothers, Joseph and Freddy. Funeral Services for Robert Pena, Sr. will be Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet at 8:00 p.m. As it was his request, Cremation Rites will follow services. Visitation Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until time of services.
