Obituary of Lawrence Burns

Burns, Lawrence Gene Age 55, of Romeoville, formerly of Glen Ellyn, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Larry was born March 16, 1956, earned a bachelor degree in EET from SIU-C, and worked in security at Arena Auto Auction in Bolingbrook, for 19 years. He was a "Trekker", who also loved to write children's bedtime stories. He is survived by his wife Barbara Burns; one son, J. Eric Booker; daughters, Rebecca (Mark) Reid and Elizabeth (Ray) Shishkoff; grandchildren, Ashley, Alex, Hayden, Natalie and Oscar; parents Gene and Inge Burns; sister Heidi (Steve) Miele and brother Michael Burns. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at Crossroads Christian Church, 805 Barthelme Drive (at Black Rd.), Joliet on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 4 p.m. until the funeral services begin at 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
