Age 84. At rest Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Borned in Covert, KS to the late Raymond and Della (nee Hollingsworth) Caldwell, living in Crest Hill most of his life. A U.S. Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Pickaway during the Korean War. Formerly employed by Blockson (Olin) Chemical, Corn Products, and McCabe Moving & Storage. Former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #377.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma (nee Rickman) Stokes-Caldwell of Shorewood; two children, Amy Johnson of Joliet and David (Vickie) Caldwell of Marseilles; five grandchildren, Philip (Heather) Procida, Jeff Procida, Randy Procida, Casey (Angie) Caldwell and Carrie (Bob) Flatness; seven great-grandchildren, Philip and Jeff Procida, Matt Jensik, Zach and Alec Caldwell, Mason and Grace Flatness; stepchildren, Pat (Gene) Johnson, Linda (Dale) Chapman and Sherri St. Germaine; one sister, Wilma Rigby of AZ.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara (VanDuyne) Caldwell (1996); one brother, Ewell Caldwell; one sister, Faye Phifer.
