Richard M. Trizna
"Dick"
Age 72. Entered eternal life on Monday, November 25, 2013. Born in Joliet on May 8, 1941. Graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he served during the Vietnam war era. Former officer of the Moran A.C., former President of the Illinois River Association; and lifelong member of the Yamma Club. He helped build the Crest Hill Baseball stand. Formerly employed by Hannah Marine, retired from Heritage Environmental.
He loved fishing, cooking, polka dancing, reading and his computer where he loved sharing email jokes with friends.
Richard is survived by many who loved him, his wife, Janet (nee Rub); sons, Daniel Trizna, and Lawrence (Christine nee Starasinic) Trizna; he was the proud grandpa of Lauren and Kayla Trizna; his brothers, Roger (Renee, nee Radakovich) Trizna, and Robert (Sharon, nee Tadey) Trizna; brother-in-law of Rita (Paul) Ruddy, and Mary (Lee) Young; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his birth father, Matthew Trizna; his mother, Cecelia (Kovalcik) Vidmar; his father, Edmund Vidmar; his grandparents, Joseph and Katarina (Krscak) Trizna; and Stephan and Julia (Marusak) Kovalcik.
Funeral Services for Richard M. Trizna will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 11:45 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Ambrose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted.
