We will miss you Uncle Jim. Thanks for teaching me the trick to getting out the Channahon potatoes (the rocks for the fence posts)! Who knew a dry vac could come in so handy? Sharon and family, our love and prayers go out to you. Sorry we couldn't have been there to say goodbye...
Jim and I were friends for many years. Unfortunately I do not know you, the family as we were friends who attended daily mass at ICS in Morris. Jim and I would visit after mass many times….other times just saying hi…..but I found him to be a wonderful man and a good friend. I don't think the definition of good friends has to mean, going out together and having a beer, or having dinner together, in can be what Jim and I had….friendship though Christ, who we both deeply believed in.
I have missed Jim for the past several months, and knew he was struggling with his health, but I was away for a month and just returned on Nov. 18th. But when I think of my friend Jim, I remember one of our conversations when we both agreed with an old saying, THERE'S NO DEATH FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF INFINITY. Jim passed from this world, but he is enjoying God's kingdom, with no pain, no suffering and nothing but tranquility and bliss.
To you, the family that I don't know personally, but know Jim loved so dearly. You probably have accepted grief and sorrow as inseparable because we have all been taught that it is cold and inhuman to think otherwise. We have to trust in God and know that all falls are blessings and all loses are in his divine order….then we can be happy for Jim, but sad only because we can't enjoy him as our friend on this earth…..but we will enjoy him someday forever. I will pray for Jim……With Love and Sympathy, Joe Schmitz.
We send our love and prayers to you, Grandpa. Hope you are resting peacefully, and we know you will continue to watch over us, along with all the other lost loved ones in heaven. God blesses you for everything you have done for us and for others.
