Obituary of Charles Simonetti

Charles V. Simonetti "Chuck" Age 99. At rest Monday, December 2, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, with his family by his side. Born May 18, 1914 in Chicago Heights, the son of the late Anthony and Francesca Simonetti, he lived in Joliet most of his life. A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Chuck's two passions in life were golf and ballroom dancing. Surviving are his two daughters, Sandy (Louis) Vercelote and Marilyn (Paul) Vollmer both of Joliet; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Ethridge, Gina (Kevin) Feehan, Amy (Greg) Drake, Michael (fiancee Paula Kircher) Schwarz, Craig (Chrissy) Vercelote and Paul (fiancee Lisa Banaszak) Vollmer; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and three nephews. Preceded in death by his daughter, Frances Ann Simonetti (1973); one sister; and four brothers. Funeral Services for Charles V. Simonetti will be Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Fr. David Simonetti officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or the University of St. Francis would be appreciated.
