Obituary of Lillian Longshore
Lillian Marie Longshore
(nee Carlsen)
"Lil"
On Wednesday, December 4, 2013, Lil left this life and is now singing with the angels to her precious Lord.
Born June 6, 1948, Lil was an inspiration to so many people throughout her life and even in her journey through cancer. She taught life's greatest lessons to her children, her family and anyone who had the joy of knowing her. Lil loved the Lord with all her heart and served him daily through her love and kindness to everyone.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband and true love of 49 years, Gene Longshore, who affectionately called her "Squeak"; mother and friend to Christine (Mark) McCluskey and Matthew (Lori) Longshore; dearest grandma and confidant to grandchildren, Nicholas (Melissa) Seeman, Mitchell and Maxwell McCluskey, Lukas and Georgia Longshore and Kathleen Schraer; special great-grandma "Punk" to Aniston and Gavin Seeman; brother, Steven Kings of CA; sister, Jane Brandt of IA; many aunts, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews who were touched by her special love; and dearest friend of Debbie Soliman and many more.
Even though she held jobs with St. Joseph Hospital, Joliet Medical Group and Illinois Hospital Association for many years, she was an invaluable partner to Gene with the family business, Longshore Painting & Decorating.
Lil was lovingly cared for by Dedria, Kathleen and Linda of the Joliet Area Community Hospice.
