Obituary of Frederick Schoob

Frederick A. Schoob Age 98. Went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 11, 2013 with his family by his side. Born in Rockdale on January 7, 1915, son of the late John and Regina (Roth) Schoob. A lifelong area resident and WWII U.S. Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific. Retired from Weber Dairy in 1975. Following retirement, he fulfilled his life ambition in the construction field, one of the original members of First Assembly of God Church, serving his church in several capacities including Sunday School involvement, building and remodeling all their buildings, serving on the church board and driving the church bus. Surviving are his four children, Roger (Betty) Schoob of Shorewood, Darlene (William) Sutherland of MI, Janine (Robert) Hahn of Joliet and Kathleen (Russell) Lassuy of AZ; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded by his loving wife, Gladys (Lea) Schoob (1994); parents; and nine siblings. Frederick A. Schoob will lie in state on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at First Assembly of God Church, 1741 Essington Road, Joliet from 1:30 p.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Larry Griswold officiating. Following services military honors will be conducted under the direction of the U.S. Navy. Private interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Friday at the Fred C.
