Obituary of Marlene Provancal

Marlene J. Provancal (nee Miller) Age 81. At rest Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Chicago on August 26, 1932, she was raised there and graduated from Kelly High School Class of 1950. She moved to the Lockport/Joliet area in 1961. Retired from Stateville Correctional Center in 1998. Preceded in death by her parents, Gottlieb "Gus" and Helen (nee Bednarowicz) Miller; one daughter, Victoria Provancal (1982); one brother, Karl A. Miller (2004); and one nephew, James Miller. Survived by her children, Debra Hwang (Barry Dean), Robert A. "Corky" (Carol) Provancal, Patrice (David) Sorg, Frank "Buster" (Annette) Provancal, James (Barbara) Provancal, John (Kathleen) Provancal and Michelle (Michael) Tuxbury; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her former husband, Robert J. Provancal; two nieces, Linda (Phil) Merrithy and Lisa Miller; one nephew, Michael (Debbie) Miller; one stepsister, Judy Anderson; one stepbrother, Charles (Sharon) Sholtes; and numerous cousins.
