Obituary of James Neilis

James F. Neilis Age 81. Passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born September 23, 1932 in Joliet, he was a lifetime area resident. Jim graduated from Joliet Central High School and Joliet Junior College. He was in the Air Force during the Korean War. Owner of The National Collection Service and Neilis Redi-Mix. Former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #300 and the Joliet Elks Lodge #296. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marilyn (nee Schwab) Neilis; two daughters, Debbie (Cliff) Spencer and Nancy Neilis; four grandchildren, Brooke (Josh) Spencer, J.R. Neilis, Jennifer Neilis and Nicole Semplinski; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Rys; son, James "Chip" Neilis, Jr. Private funeral services for James F. Neilis will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
