Mary Pat Ortiz "Pat" (nee Flaherty) Age 73. At rest Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in LaSalle, IL to the late Francis and Lucille (Lyons) Flaherty. A resident of Morris for the past 40 years. Graduate of LaSalle-Peru Township High School, Class of 1958. Pat helped many families by caring for their children in her home for many years. An avid reader, especially mysteries. Survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Anthony T. Ortiz of Morris; her sons, Scott (Monica) Ortiz of Aurora, Brett (Sire) Ortiz of Morris, Chris (Nancy) Ortiz of Morris and Craig Ortiz of Morris; grandchildren, Dustin and Leah Ortiz of Morris; her brother, Dale (Pat) Flaherty of FL; sisters, Carol (Jim) Noah of FL, Julie (Tom) Zwica of Genseo, IL, Collen (Dave) McClure of Ottawa and Maureen Flaherty of Ottawa; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mary Pat Ortiz will be Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Dr., Morris. Private family interment at Mt.
