Obituary of Kimberly McGuire

Kimberly A. McGuire (nee Lorenz) Age 57. Passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at her home. She was born August 5, 1956 to Lorraine (nee Meyer) and the late Fred Lorenz in Joliet where she resided all her life and graduated with the Class of '74 from Joliet West High School. Beloved wife of Henry A. McGuire, Jr.; loving mother of Susan (Daniel) Mezger and Henry A. McGuire III. Proud grandma of Kaitlyn and Daniel Mezger, Jr. Dearest daughter of Lorraine (late Fred) Lorenz. Fond sister of Gregory (Paula) Lorenz, Scott (Pamela) Lorenz and Susan (James) Kaynish. Dear aunt of Elizabeth and Nicholas Lorenz; Stephen and Catherine Kaynish. Fond daughter-in-law of Henry A. McGuire, Sr. She will also be missed by her loyal cat "Mike". Preceded in death by her father; aunt Marilyn Holton, cousin Terry Huston and mother-in-law, Janie McGuire. Kim graduated from St. Joseph College of Nursing and was employed for over 35 years as a registered nurse. A member of New Covenant Community Church of New Lenox. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, crocheting, knitting and cross-stitching. We will always remember her beautiful smile. Visitation for Kimberly A. McGuire will be held Friday, January 10, 2014 from 4 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet. Pastor Bruce Hollister will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials in her name to New Covenant Community Church of New Lenox would be appreciated.
