Obituary of Claren Anderson

Claren "Cookie" M. Anderson Age 65, of Walkersville, MD and formerly of Joliet, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Maryland. Born April 19, 1948 in Chicago, she was a graduate of Gage Park High School, Class of 1966. She worked as a publication technologist for Cahners Publishing Company, Des Plaines. She was always devoted to taking care of her family, her home and her many adopted pets. Surviving are her loving partner, Rick K. Holt; children from Martin A. Anderson, Sr.; Bryan (Karla) Anderson of Chicago, IL, Gina Kulakowski of Sauk Village, IL, April (Henry) Tough of Joliet, IL, Martin Anderson, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV and Tina Anderson of Crest Hill, IL; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight brothers and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded by her parents, Walter and Mary (Conrad) Spreadbury. Visitation for Claren M. Anderson will be Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a service at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Clif Ingram officiating at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
