Obituary of Christopher Drop

Christopher R. Drop Age 26, Plainfield, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL. Born July 5, 1987 in Arlington Heights, he was raised in Round Lake Beach, Chicago and Plainfield, and attended the College of DuPage. Chris was a bicycling and sports enthusiast, a world traveler, and an amateur aviator. He loved dogs and nature, and liked to rehab houses. Surviving are his parents, Russell and Patricia (nee Corcoran) Drop of Plainfield; one sister, Holly (nee Drop) Lindquist; one brother, Adam Drop; grandmother, Marie Corcoran; a niece and nephew, Hope and Kenneth Lindquist; his aunts and uncles, Cynthia (nee Drop) and Michael Motzny, Gary and Alice (nee Santos) Drop, Diane (nee Drop) and Robert Anderson, John Corcoran Jr., and Patricia and Cathy Fox; and his cousins, Kylie Drop, Eric (Bettina) Motzny, Lori Anderson, and Lisa (nee Anderson) (David) Smith. Preceded by his grandparents, John Corcoran, Russell and Marie (nee Gryska) Drop; great-aunt, Adelaide Fox; and his beloved dog, Taco. Funeral Services will be Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL 60431. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the College of DuPage for the establishment of a scholarship in his name would be appreciated. Visitation THURSDAY 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
