Obituary of Barbara Schreiner

Barbara Jean Schreiner Age 74. Passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born August 6, 1939 in Joliet, she was a lifelong resident. Employed as an operator with Illinois Bell for 25 years, retired in 1994; and with Empress Casino from 1994-2000. A student with St. John Parochial School and St. Francis Academy graduate, Class of 1957. Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Joliet Evening and Noon Lions Clubs. A longtime Joliet area bowler with the Rivals at Town & Country Lanes. Preceded in death by her parents, Anthony J. and Barbara A. (nee Schmars) Schreiner; and one brother, Donald Schreiner. Loving sister of Mary Ann (Lance) Hileman of Morris, Clyde (Charlene) Schreiner of Joliet, Richard (Therese) Schreiner of Romeoville, John (Violet) Schreiner of Joliet, and Thomas Schreiner of Groveland, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Barbara Jean Schreiner will be Monday, February 10, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery.
