Obituary of Edward Hill

Edward F. Hill Age 79, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale. He was born July 5, 1934 in Joliet to the late Elizabeth and Russell Hill, and had resided in the Joliet area for most of his life. A U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War, being honorably discharged in 1957. Beloved husband of 53 years to Charlene Hill; loving father of Dennis (Carol) Hill and Scott (Lisa) Hill; proud grandfather of Kevin, Kyla and Kora Hill; Melissa (Ben) Gottschall and Matt Van Nuffelen; dear great-grandpa of Madison Gottschall; also survived by three brothers, Russ (Shirley), John (Gail), and Bruce (Barb) Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Topper Hill. Funeral Services for Edward F. Hill will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014, 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet, to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
