Obituary of Grace Sbertoll

Grace L. Sbertoll nee Ryan (Sbertoli) Age 94, of Chicago, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center with her devoted family by her side. Born August 8, 1919 in Chicago, IL. Grace's childhood was spent on the south side, a typical south side Irish family. Following her graduation from St. Thomas Aquinas, she was employed as a secretary until meeting her husband, Bob, in 1955. They were married in September of 1955, becoming "soulmates" for 28 years. Grace had a full productive life enjoying the company of friends and relatives. Survived by her nieces, Patricia (late Wilbur) Sager of Tinley Park, IL and Joan (James G.) Hickey of Joliet; and many great-nieces and nephews. Preceded by her beloved husband, Robert R. (Sbertoli) Sbertoll (1983); her parents, Dennis J. and Sarah H. (nee Moroney) Ryan; one brother, John W. Ryan (1958); and nephew, William D. Ryan (2012). The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center and Hospice for their care and concern shown to Grace and her family. All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough Street, Joliet from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
