Obituary of Doris Norberg

Doris Mae Norberg (nee Richardson) Age 82. Peacefully Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago following complications arising from pneumonia with her family by her side. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet/New Lenox area resident. A graduate of Joliet Township High School. Doris especially enjoyed traveling, family get-togethers and spending time with her grandchildren. Preceded by one grandson, Chris Norberg (2011); her parents, Lonnie and Irene (nee Conant) Richardson; two sisters, Irene (Charles) Wiles and Anna Marie Karolcik; three brothers, Lonnie (Mary Alice), Robert and John Richardson. Survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Howard Norberg; two daughters, Judy Norberg and Jill (Ken) Siwinski, all of New Lenox; two sons, Timothy (the late Cindy) Norberg of Joliet and Thomas (Kathy) Norberg of New Lenox; five grandchildren, Lindsey and Lauren Norberg, Kyle and Jake Siwinski and Marja Norberg; one sister, Nancy (the late Don) Birsa of Joliet; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Doris Mae Norberg will be Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet.
