Obituary of Eleanor Caceres

Eleanor Caceres (nee Bautista) Age 69. Passed away at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. Born in Joliet May 26, 1938, she was a lifelong resident. She worked at the Joliet Arsenal (APSA), and also at Nicor as a meter reader, but she was well known as the manager of the former Golden Bear Restaurant in Joliet. Beloved mother of Roman Ramirez, Elena (Jim) Shields, Carmen (Joseph) Ryle, Raquel (Tony) Villagomez and Mardo F. (Raychel) Caceres; proud grandmother of Roman III and Sara; Mark F. Tucci, Jr., Justine (Will) Garcia, Andrew Tucci; Julia Caceres and Angel Diaz; Gian and Luis Villagomez; Mardo F. Caceres, Jr. and Kassandra Caceres; dear great-grandmother of five; also survived by her brother, Louis Alonzo; her beloved aunt, Josephine Ortiz; and her former husband and friend, Mardo Caceres. Preceded in death by her mother, Emilia Ortiz; and sister, Mary Harriman. Eleanor was a Chicago sports fanatic, who could not be interrupted during a televised game; she thoroughly enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports. Funeral Services for Eleanor Caceres will be Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Jude Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.
