Obituary of Nyla Cain

Nyla Cain (nee Prewett) Age 94, late Joliet, IL and formerly of Rolla, MO, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009. Born October 8, 1914 in Pulaski County, MO to the late Floyd and Hazel Prewett. Nyla was united in marriage to Everett Cain on March 5, 1932. They farmed in Pulaski, Phelps, and Dent Counties in Missouri for many years. Nyla is survived by her loving and devoted son, Edward (late Glenda) of Joliet; her grandchildren, Nancy (Ed) Gregory of Mt. Vernon, Gail (Mark) Stevens of Joliet, Don (Julie) Cain of Joliet, Glenn (Kim) Cain of Bourbonnais, Lisa (Jim) Byrne of North Aurora, and Paul Cain of Joliet; great-grandchildren, Bryan and Brad Bubulka, Andrew Stevens, Katelyn Cain, Benjamin Cain, Patrick, David and Matthew Byrne. Also survived by sisters, Georgia Salter of Oregon, Dorothy Duncan of Missouri, and Florence Vaughan of Missouri; sister-in-law, Velma Stockstill of Missouri; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Everett (1977); infant son, Wayne; her sister, Opal Whorton; brothers, Claude "Jack", Warren, John and James Prewett; in-laws, Beulah Kelly, Norma Brenner, Emmett Cain, Virgie Allen and Judy Johnson. A private service will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home with burial in Waynesville, MO.
