Age 89, a lifetime Joliet area resident, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. She was born July 2, 1924 to the late Mary (nee Zajac) and Ludwig Ludrovec.
Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 1979; daughter, Rosanne in infancy; son, Danny unexpectedly in 1985; her parents; two sisters, Ann Mergen and Mary Cornelius; one brother, Joseph (late Mary) Ludrovec and sister-in-law, Myrna Ludrovec.
Loving mother of Louise (Mike) Keane and Theresa (Anthony) Grycko; beloved grandmother of Keriann, Anthony and Shannon; dear sister of Richard Ludrovec. Also survived by a brother-in-law, Carl Cornelius and several other relatives and dear friends.
Lillian was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association and the Quilting Club of Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church. She attended St. Joseph Hospital College of Nursing and was employed many years ago at the Rialto Theatre in downtown Joliet, where she met her beloved husband Ray.
She enjoyed the outdoors, bingo and singing, especially in church. A kind woman, Lillian thoroughly enjoyed gardening and sharing her bounty with friends, family and neighbors. She will always be in our hearts.
All friends and relatives are invited to gather Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, Rt. 6 (Maple Rd.), Joliet, from 10:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow Mass.
