Obituary of Mary Winke

Mary Frances Winke (nee Garrison) Age 90, of Joliet, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at Symphony of Joliet. Born July 23, 1923 in Denton, TX, she was a longtime Joliet area resident. An active member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond. She and her husband enjoyed playing bridge and were Bridge Club members for many years. She was also the former President of her condo association. She is survived by her four children, Stanley J. (Martha) Winke, Jr. of Streamwood, Diane Burch of Joliet, Judith (William) Cobb of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Linda (the late David) Flowers of Glendale, AZ; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Winke, Sr. (2001); her parents, William Edgar and Bertha (Pockrus) Garrison; and three sisters. Funeral Services for Mary Frances Winke will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
