Dad, I can't believe it's been 10 days. I miss you, but it gives me comfort to know that you are no longer in pain and are reunited with mom, Stuart and all of your loved ones. I could never write down how much we appreciate all you did for us and your entire family. You worked so very hard your entire life, wow, even working up till 90 yrs. old. You and mom did so much for us, taught us so much and gave all of yourselves for all of us. Dad, when you bought Oak Lawn Harley-Davidson in 1998 it changed my life as well as Dave's. What an experience. You were a successful business man and I had never met "ANYONE" that had anything negative to say about you. Dave & I were so very blessed to have been able to run the dealership with your guidance. Thank-you so much for that. We met so many good people. Worked with family and enjoying so many memories. Plus all our wonderful memories with you & mom. I told you when you were crossing over that we all wood be alright and all reunited one day. I love you Dad.

My dad Smitty (Clarence Schmitz) adored Neil. They shared a love of manufacturing, motor homes, motorcycles, and airplanes. Dad just loved spending an afternoon tinkering in Neil's or his own warehouse on whatever needed fixing and especially loved the long talks that went along with it. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope that they are somewhere together tinkering on something new. Sincerely, Kris Schmitz

Our condolences on your loss ...behind Joy, Dave Tinsman,Mike Sankow and all of the Oak Lawn Harley Davidson Family ....your kindness and aiding others in the motorcycling community was mentored by this graceful and benevolent Gentleman ....as former President of Toys for Tots and still active member of both TFT and IMFR ....we wish you comfort in your loss. When I met him it was with care and support for others that was true, and it showed in all your years of supporting both The Chicagoland Toy for Tots Motorcycle Parade and The Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run. In Life it is not what you have but what you Give , it was quite apparent ...that Oak Lawn Harley Davidson was championed well by Your Father , Friend , etc, a man with a Caring and Golden heart. May he Rest in Peace and again our prayers , to the Tinsman, Houbolts and Oak Lawn Harley Family. As quietly he was truly an Honor to known in the Motorcycling community. Sincerely, Robert “Cooch” Kuczera ,TFT #149 Past President of Chicagoland TFT Motorcycle Parade and Volunteer for Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run.

Please don't cry
I'm not really gone
When you look out the window
I'll be standing on the lawn
Please don't cry
I'll see you again
Don't be sad
Keep up your chin
Please don't cry
I'm not really dead
When you cry yourself to sleep
I'll be by your bed
Please don't cry
Just because we had to part
As long as you remember me
I'll live in your heart
Please don't cry
I'm not gone forever
I'll be a cool and gentle breeze
In hot summer weather
Please don't cry
Don't run and hide
When you need a shoulder to lean on
I'll be by your side
Please don't cry
When you're sad and weak
I'll be there
To kiss you on the cheek
Please don't cry
This is just a goodbye
So please, oh please
Baby, do not cry
RIP Neal....God bless you and your family.

Our journey began when my husband, Norm worked for Roper in Kankakee in the 70's. Neal and Ed would call on him from Jemco and the friendship began. Our families quickly "clicked" and it has been not merely a business friendship but a lifelong friendship of two families for over 30 years. We've had so many good times, funny stories, and wonderful memories together. The first time I met Mumzie I thought "I love this woman-she is a hoot!" -- and she was and I adored her. Nancy and Ed have been some of our very closest friends.
You all are close to my heart and I will be praying for you this week and
the the weeks and months to come. My love to all of you.
Rest in peace Neal Houbolt.
