Obituary of Ann Calamaras

Ann Honiotes Calamaras Ann Calamaras passed away on December 16, 2009 at the age of 94 at Bickford Assisted living and Memory Care in Oswego, Illinois. Ann was born in Joliet, Illinois on April 16, 1915. She and her husband George, with their son John, owned and operated Paramount Heights in Oswego, IL. Ann and John continued the business after her husband George died in 1965. Ann was a volunteer for the White Cross Auxillary at Copley Memorial Hospital for 30 years. She has been a member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church all her life. Survived by her son John (Pat) of Oswego, IL, her daughter, Helen (Richard) Rockenbach of Plano, IL, daughter Maria Adams of Montgomery, IL and son James Calamaras of Hilton Head, SC. Five grandchildren, Annette (Jeff) Hensley of Oswego, IL, Penny Skouras of Montgomery, IL, Lisa (Shawn) Domark of Yorkville, IL, Nick (Charlotte) Catsadimas of Lake in the Hills, IL and Martha Calamaras of Atlanta, GA. Four great-grandchildren, Marissa and Mitchell Hensley of Oswego, IL, Zoe Domark of Yorkville, IL and Callie Catsadimas of Lake in the Hills, IL. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Helen, Mary, Suzanne, Ann, Jennie, Sophie and Liz Honiotes as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, George and brothers, John, Peter, Dr. George, Andrew, Jim, Bill and Nick Honiotes of Joliet, IL and a son-in-law, Alan T. Adams. Funeral services for Ann Calamaras will be Saturday, December 19, 2009 at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Joliet, where services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service.
