Obituary of Patrick Egan

Patrick L. Egan Age 69. Passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Morris Hospital. Born on July 21, 1944 in Omaha, NE. Pat was a graduate of Joliet Township High School and an Army veteran. A long-time employee, he was retired from the EJ&E Railroad. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. He loved playing golf and was an avid Cubs fan. Survived by his loving wife, Nancy of Minooka; two children, Trish Alberico of Minooka and Robert Alberico of Joliet; grandchildren, Brandon Smith of Oak Park and Katelyn Alberico of Minooka; three sisters, Carole Egan of Cape Coral, FL, Joyce (Donald) Kelm of Batavia, Kay (Raymond) Ausec of Lockport; one brother, James (Mary Ann) Egan of Channahon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by his parents, Mildred and Everette Egan and his son, Jason Alberico. A special thank you to Jim Moats for his many acts of kindness. Funeral Services for Patrick Egan will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of the U.S. Army. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the American Heart association would be appreciated.
