Obituary of Bonnie Propper

Bonnie J. Propper (nee Dolak) Age 68. At rest Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her loving family by her side. Born in Joliet to the late Ben and Eileen (nee Fox) Dolak. A lifelong area resident. She received her teacher's aide certificate from Joliet Junior College. Formerly employed in a secretarial position for Argonne National Laboratory where she met her husband, Fred. Also Bergner's Department Store and Naturalizer Shoe Store. Following her employment, she enjoyed being actively involved in her new role as grandmother. Bonnie also enjoyed serving at St. John Lutheran Church in the Dorcas Circle and the Altar Guild. Bonnie loved gardening, reading, bowling and was very devoted to her family and cherished the love of her grandchildren. Survived is her loving husband of 50 years, Fred C. Propper of Plainfield; three children, Douglas (Theresa) Propper of Joliet, Mike Propper of Plainfield and Susie (Steve) Bettenhausen of Plainfield; three grandchildren, Jake and Sara Bettenhausen and Doug Propper II; her best friend, Helen (George) Miller of Manhattan, IL; and her special friends from church. Preceded in death by her dearest aunt, Eloise Venske. Bonnie J. Propper will Lie in State on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church, 2650 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Jen Beamsley officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in her name to St. John Altar Guild would be appreciated. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. at the Fred C.
