Obituary of Rose Moruzi

Rose Moruzi (nee Diaz) Age 87. Went home to be with The Lord Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Rosewood Care Center. Born in Lockport to the late Emilio and Vicenta (Salazar) Diaz. A lifelong area resident. Retired from Saint Joseph Hospital. An avid homemaker, seamstress, gardner and passionate cook. Survived by one loving daughter, Yvonne (John) Jamerson of Joliet; granddaughter, Nicole (Zack) Edgar of Shorewood; great-grandson, Adyn; her siblings, Paul Diaz of Texas, Manuel Diaz, Isabele (Jesse) Rodriguez, Carmen (Daniel) Enriquez, Theresa Lopez, Lillian (William) James and Esther Rodriguez all of Joliet; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert L. Moruzi (2011); one sister, Margaret Escobedo; two brothers, Alphonse and John (infancy). The family would like to extend their sincere thank you to the staff of Rosewood Care Center and Vitas Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Funeral Services for Rose Moruzi will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
